What Does a Life Coach Do

I became a life coach to help people get to where they want to be. The world can be a crazy and hectic place. Why should we allow ourselves to live in that chaos? Getting lost in the days and the struggles that challenge us is easy. Overcoming challenges is often easier said than done, but regardless of what is going on in your life, my goal is to make sure you come out on top. Whether it be your limiting beliefs, learning to remain accountable, or developing proper problem-solving techniques in life, I will go over it in this blog.

The first and favorite thing about working with clients is their mindset transformation. Their mindset is tied directly to any doubts or limiting beliefs they might have. Whether you think you can or can’t is a choice you must make for yourself. If you want it bad enough, nothing will get in your way! Coincidentally, the thing that often gets in our way the most is our brain. The slight inclination to a challenge or a small hurdle is enough to stop some people dead in their tracks. Overcoming challenges requires a shift in how we view obstacles. How can we train ourselves not to fear the unknown and take on any challenge, no matter how daunting?

The proper mindset is not something you can buy at the grocery store but can be attained through practice. Mastering your mind is something you must develop and nurture so it can grow strong. A tree does not worry about being blown over in the winds. The tree stands tall through hurricanes and storms. We can also stand tall through all of life’s struggles and trials. Overcoming challenges requires us to be resilient. I can guarantee you that the outcome is up to you for any problem you have right now. We are in charge of our thoughts, feelings, and actions. These motivators will help us create healthy solid habits or limit our potential.

The more positive our mindset, the better choices we will make. If we want to get in shape, for example, a strong mindset would look like waking up early to get a workout in before work or the kids wake up. A better mindset could lead to eating more mindfully and ensuring our bodies eat healthy and balanced meals. A strong work mindset would allow us to head into work with a clear mind or smile without being bothered by our job. The mind can either hate something or love something. If you do not love where you are, you can change it. Nonetheless, we must have a solid routine built on good habits before attaining the life we dream and aspire to have.

Once you have the mindset and develop a routine that works best for you, you must remain accountable for everything you do. When you wake up, you are faced with so many decisions. You can decide to press the snooze, skip the gym, or forgo any obligations you have set. Regardless of what you decide, you have to own that choice. There are no excuses for not going to the gym. I hear everyone making excuses, but there are no valid excuses. There are reasons why someone might not make it to the gym, but an excuse should never be one of them. Remember that remaining accountable means you are in charge of what happens. You are in charge of what happens to your day, and you are in charge of what happens to you.

When it feels like you do not have control, re-evaluate yourself to see what is going on. Maintaining a strong mindset is not easy, but it is not impossible. Some days you will be tired and want to give up, but I am telling you that you will gain so much more through that pain. You will gain respect for yourself and the knowledge/understanding that you were able to do it. Just like training your muscles to grow, you must push yourself until failure. Always go for one more when you think you don’t have anything left to give. Overcoming challenges comes from pushing past those limits. You will grow the most when you do those tasks that seem daunting and tedious. The hard work will pay off one day because it will lead you to live each day fully and appreciate the struggle.

That leads us to the last piece of the puzzle: problem-solving. Problem-solving is not about fixing the problem. For example, if I have an issue, I fix it myself. If I want to increase my cash flow, I must look at areas where I can make that happen. Once I have developed a plan of action, I can pursue my goal. Another example is, if I am eating badly, then I will meditate to recenter my body. I noticed that the foods I consumed did not give my body and brain the necessary nutrients. Doing this allows me to focus on my body’s needs to be healthy and happy.

We go through each day creating many problems for ourselves. We might go to work and say that a co-worker doesn’t like us. We might make a mistake and have a hard time letting it go. The purpose of problem-solving is to bring you back to regular. We have to bring you back to the point where you can be effective again. Do not let your greatness lay down because you got knocked down. You must get back up each time you fall and make sure you do not quit. Overcoming challenges is about getting back up and finding the solution. There is no problem you cannot solve! Put that thought/idea in your head. There is always a solution, and you must work through life in a way that will best advance you to the next level.

Life coaching helps develop a mindset that will squeeze every ounce of greatness out of each day. Success coaching helps you develop strong habits, remain accountable, and become an effective problem solver. The biggest wall we will ever climb in our life is in our brain, and we put it there. You have to choose that nothing will stop you in your tracks. Will you tear it down, leap over it, or stay where you are? I will tell you the best version of yourself on the other side of that wall. Overcoming challenges is part of the process, but we can get there together. As a coach, I want to see you reach your most desired life. It begins with an undying focus to achieve, conquer, and grow so that you get closer to where you want to be each day.

Until then,
