The Right To Dream

I am sure I am not speaking for myself when I say I’m a dreamer. I am also not trying to quote John Lennon in his song “Imagine.” I think there is something really special about taking time out to dream. It gives you something to look forward to, but it allows you to work towards something. It might be dreaming of a better day, more money, friends, relationships, or just a moment to yourself that can be powerful motivators to enhance your situation and drive you towards the life you desire.

The primary purpose of your dreams should be to turning dreams into reality. Dreaming alone is not enough to get you what you want in life. It would be best to put in the work needed to accomplish the tasks and goals that will one day get you to your dreams. The dreams that seem so far out of reach are the ones we need to strive for. Turning dreams into reality might seem so far out of reach right now, but it doesn’t mean they will remain that far from your reach forever. You will need massive action to accomplish your most dreamt-about dreams. With dedication and focus, your dreams can become a reality.

Whether you dream big or small is up to you. Looking at a colossal dream can seem impossible at first, but I know now that anything is possible. If you put in the work and dedication, you can be where you want to be. If you dream small in your life, you will have small results and will not ideally be where you want to end up. You might be pleased where you are, but why limit yourself? Each day you should grow, and with hopes that the next day you do too. Continue to grow and put yourself in a better place. I know I said I was a dreamer, but I know I’m not the only one.

A dream will remain a dream as long as you let it. Your dreams will save you from the life you passively live. Life is something that requires you to go out each day and triumph over it. Often, we get into the habit of dreading Monday and waiting for Friday so much that we lose our purpose somewhere in between. Our dreams, goals, and ambitions are kept in check for so long we become stagnant and lose our shine. This shine is the thing that makes us want to push onward toward our dreams even through tough times. In these hardship moments, we must put in the hard work to get what we want. Many of our thoughts in a day are merely distractions slowing or stopping us from reaching our dreams. We must learn the importance of taking action to decipher these distractions and solve the puzzle that is in our brains, so we can conquer each moment and tackle every dream.

Dreaming comes with great responsibility. There are people in the world who may not have the same opportunities. It can be economical, geographic, or socially related, but it doesn’t stop the dream from manifesting in your mind. That is the importance of taking action to become the person you are destined to be. Your dreams will one day make you the person you want to be, or they will be the shadow of the person you could have been. Do not let your dreams be more significant than your reality, and do not allow your reality to be bigger than your dreams. Always work for more and strive to get more out of each day. Start to squeeze every hour, every minute, and second for your benefit. The path is the way, and the obstacle is you.

Be the dreamer you should be in life, you have all the right to dream. Remember, dreams without actions are just dreams and will not get you where you want to be. If your dreams are small, then find a bigger one, and if they are so big that you are overwhelmed, let us begin to find ways to break them down into more manageable chunks. Let us start to complete the journey, the destination dream. You have the right to dream and dream big; you should. Do not let a dream sit idle in your mind. Start to work on it each day, and with every passing day, you will see that the dream that seemed so far yesterday seems a bit closer and more in reach today. Each day, continue to make progress so that the dream you dream of is the reality in which you wish to live.
