Lights, Camera, ACTION!!!

This has been a wonderful year of writing my blog, and I have learned so much along the way. Now that this year has come to a close, it is time to begin the next chapter/year of our journey. I wanted to talk about how taking action was the biggest success of my year. I want you to take away from this blog the areas in your life where you took “good” actions and where the actions you took were “bad.” Prepare yourself to start the year by being aware of your actions from the start and making any changes needed for you to come out on top this time again next year. Did you make any progress this year, or did you just survive? I know you can do more than just survive in life. Success is something that we all can achieve, but it requires starting, consistency, and action.

Regardless of what you want to accomplish this year, I want you to pretend you are under the spotlight. This spotlight is there so the world can witness your progress. This light is fully transparent, and its only purpose is to allow you to see who you become this coming year. The light can be there to help you be aware of your actions and not shove things in the dark, like weight loss or career goals. The person you can become is under that light. You are the star of the show, and the world is waiting for you to make the scene.

Being aware that you are all that and a bag of chips is a positive mental fortification. I am not talking about being about yourself in a conceited way, but rather, in a loving and caring way. You should want good things to happen in your life. You have the ability to receive all you work towards but be sure to remain honest. That spotlight of yours will not dim or burn out. You have to remain truthful because you cannot lie to yourself. Though making an excuse might put some sunglasses over your eyes and make the light seem less than what it is, nothing has changed. The change you want will happen when you put forth the effort needed.

The effort needed for you to be the star in your movie is ten times what you think it will take. If you think that a certain amount of action is enough to get you that promotion at work, I want you to stop for a moment and multiply your effort by ten. It might feel daunting at first but aiming that high is more beneficial for you in the scheme of things. Doing things with ten times the effort and action will allow you to be fully prepared to handle whatever may come your way. There will be no shortage of knowledge or experience that can hold you back. Now that you are aiming for a goal, you will notice the change happening within you, and so will others.

The next area to focus on is the camera aspect, and that is other people watching you. At this point, people will start to see the progress you are making. They might notice the wrinkles or grey hairs from the stress, but that should not impede who you are becoming. You are now becoming a role model and an example to other people of what is achievable with focus and hard work. The pressure might start to come on knowing that not only are the lights on, but the cameras are rolling, watching your every move.

These people or cameras are not there to find your flaws. These people are there to be proof that you did it. The proof that you succeeded or failed will be there. This is the most important part because this is the learning experience. Did you do what was needed, did you remain passive, or take no risks? The answer is in the putting, and this year I want you to make sure you put down the groundwork that will lead you to where you want to be.

The actions that you take will either give you the results you want or give you the results you deserve. The results you deserve are the actions that you took. This might be doing the bare minimum in order to get something done, but on the other hand, it can be massive action and be enough to have you reach your most ambitious goals. The actions you take from today until the end of next year depend on your focus and drive. You are the captain for this coming year, so do not give anyone else control of the helm. That is your job!

Your job as the captain this year is to take the necessary actions needed to sail you to your destination. Where do you want to go? We live in a vast and plentiful world where success is never a scarcity and effort should always be set at maximum. The actions you take can help you one day see the most marvelous things. You do not have to worry about looking at a tabletop filled with past-due bills or wondering where your next meal is coming from. The world does not owe you anything, but you owe the world something. That something is a wonderful movie.

The movie you create has the ability to change lives and make a difference for those around you. What can you do starting today to commit to becoming a better version of yourself? What actions can you take that will one day lead to a masterful work of art that you can call your own movie? The world wants to see a change, and you can be that. Nonetheless, in order to be that change, you have to take action. The lights begin to dim, and the curtains start to rise. It is showtime!

The lights have now turned on, and you are in the spotlight. The cameras are starting to roll, and the lens is pointed at you. Now, all there is left to do is take massive action. Act on this moment and do not let any more film waste. You are going to be a star, but it requires some work on your part. You have to make sure to put on your best scenes in the coming months. This will help develop your motivation in the coming months. You might start to slow down in the coming months and want to take a break, but it is not an intermission yet. There is no time to be tired because this movie is urgent. This movie is vital to your life and those around you. The movie of the century is a film in progress, and I know I am excited to see the end result.

The end result of the film is exactly what your actions have led to. Did you take proper actions on your diet, career, and relationships to make them successful? Is it important that this film premieres at the box office this year? What roadblocks did you set up for yourself? There are many things that can impede the actions you take or should be taking, but the world does not need excuses. The show must go on, and you are front in center. The lights are on, the cameras are rolling, it is time to act, and you are everything you need and more. The type of movie you create this year depends on you! The person who can make your dreams come true is staring back at you in the mirror. So be sure to shine bright and be a star that is camera-ready to put on the best film yet in 2020!
