We all have this innate desire for freedom. Whether that freedom is to say what we want or live the life we dream of. What does your freedom mean to you? What would you do if it was taken away? Well, in order to encourage people to embrace their freedom and respect other people’s freedom, it is important to talk about our mindset. Do we have a mindset that allows people to have their own opinion without wanting to shove our own agenda down their throats? We have the freedom to do what we want, when we want, and how we want. Essentially, you choose what you have in your life, and that is determined by what you freely think about. This type of freedom is in direct correlation to your thoughts, feelings, and action, which you have complete control over. In this blog, I want to dive into that freedom to choose what you have/keep in your life and to help you pivot (if needed) in the direction you want for your life.
If you were given a bad hand at a certain time in your life, then you will be aware that life can be rough. Sometimes things do not go the way you plan for them to go. You might have had dreams of being something greater than what you are now, and for that, you blame life for the outcome. True, there are many things you will not be able to control in life, but life is not about what you cannot control, but rather what you can. This is where freedom comes into play. The freedom you should seek will help to propel you to a better future. Yes, the world might have treated you unfairly, but there is no reason why you have to do the same to your lie. You have the power today to choose something better.
The better you seek, it can be anything your mind can think of. You can want your freedom to share the world with everyone equally or simply have your voice heard. We are all unique miracles, but we go through our lives as if we are not. We waste days and miss opportunities that can help elevate us to be better tomorrow. We fill our hearts and minds with greed/hate and use our hands/words for evil. I understand it can be easy to justify a negative behavior because someone did wrong to us, but the true courage of being free is to lead by example. Yes, the world might knock you down many times before you can see the difference you are trying to make, but if you can stand up against the world, then I am certain you can stand up to your insecurities.
The freedom to choose good over evil is more important than ever due to the current climate of the world. People are stuck up, self-centered, and unwilling to be the best version of themselves. I understand that this year has not been easy, but you cannot allow that to be an excuse for remaining stagnant. Yes, you might have lost a job, a loved one, or even your sanity, but none of these are valid reasons for giving up. I believe there is a clear line between when you need a break and when you need to dig deep and keep going. Break time has to be over as we approach the end of this year. I need you to start digging deep and make the changes you want to happen next year because January 1st is not a magic date that will give you what you want. First, you have to prepare for it, and second, you have to execute it. When I take a look back at this year, I look back at a year I have worked the hardest in my life. I have worked more hours on more projects than I could have ever dreamed of. This was possible because my freedom to choose was directed at a better version of me and the world I live in. I have made that choice for myself, no matter what my surroundings were.
Once you are able to understand that what you have in your life is dependent on you, then you can adjust to make the proper changes. Those changes might be to be more active or remove people from your life. You cannot take everyone with you, so be sure that the people you have in your life want to be there as much as you want them there. Leeches are everywhere in our current society, and it is up to you not to let them suck you dry. You have to choose what you believe in and the outcome you desire and surround yourself with like-minded individuals. Once you have your team assembled, you have to make sure that other people’s values or beliefs do not clash with yours. That means what someone else believes in does not have to align with what you want. This is because you do not have time to worry about changing other people.
This all leads to what you want out of your life. What do you want to believe in for tomorrow and see happen in the world? You should choose a path built on that idea because it will help to create a foundation upon which you to build the rest of your life. I can guarantee you that other people will have something to say about what you are doing and believe in. People have developed a tendency to inject their agenda into your life in hopes you will see the value in it. However, the value for them is to have compliance and support in their efforts to boost their own self-esteem and ego. I will tell you now that you do not need anyone to lift you up to be or feel better in life. Yes, feelings appreciated and desired are nice when it happens. However, you can have all that you dream of with a proper action plan and no outside motivation necessary.
Your action plan for freedom should be what you want in your life. You should not be worried about what someone else thinks about what you believe in. You can be vocal or silent in your beliefs and live the life you want. However, it is important not to let anger represent your beliefs because someone has an opposing viewpoint. Like I said earlier, we are all unique, and that means that we will all think differently. Though we have different ideas and thought processes, there is one thing that we all have that can be in alignment. That one thing is our mindset for growth and to be better each day. Being filled with anger and prejudice when someone else has a different belief or values is absurd. Our freedoms will be as uniquely individual as we are, and it is important to embrace others regardless of their differences.
In closing, your freedom should be in alignment with the future you seek. Learn how to respect others regardless of what they believe in. This is important because, in a world full of chaos, we have the opportunity to be the peace. Even if you had an upbringing where hate and evil were the lessons learned, you could change that around today. I can assure you that the hate will dissipate and evolve into something positive with the right amount of care. We cannot fight hate with hate any longer. We must fill the world with what it needs right now, and that is love. So take today to love and embrace that freedom. Allow others to embrace their freedom too, and show them how happy you are right now because your freedom is just as important as the next person. Lead by example and let your freedom be the guide.
Until then,
